Well the kids have been out of school for a few weeks and although we don't usually have to get up early, I feel like all we have done is run, run, run!
Last week for example, I think we may have been at home Monday. Tuesday, we drove to Hamburg and ran errands. We went to Super Cuts so that I could get my hair cut. The kids behaved very well while we were there. We ran to Target and then to Dick's Sporting Goods to get all Jack's stuff for t-ball. Then on to Meijer for groceries. On Wednesday, we went to the dry cleaners, Dollar Tree, the farm, Kohl's, Lowe's, and the car wash. That night we went to church. On Thursday, we had to go to Lexington again for Jack a recheck for strep and Madalynn a check-up. We went to a consignment store, Ladybug Landing; and returned some things to Motherhood Maternity. I got the kids some lunch at the mall at Chick-Fil-A, but ended up getting it to go since apparently the air conditioning isn't working in that end of the building. I ran through Scholotsky's for my lunch and then headed home. Friday, we went to Kroger and Walmart. Saturday I told the kids we could just have a lazy day! We got up late and just did things around the house. I painted a little Cozy Coupe that was given to us for Madalynn and it had been used by two boys and had sat out in the West Texas sun for years at that point. (It looks really good now! I was surprised!) I tilled a little in the garden to plant some late corn. I swept out the garage. I went back later in the afternoon and actually planted the corn and watered the garden. I also found time to do a few loads of laundry, paint my toenails, and wax my eyebrows. So not exactly a lazy day, but at least a day at home.
